WAGLER PURCHASES NO BOX NATIONALS FROM TRIPLE O PROMOTIONS, LLC.

Odon, IN – December 20th, 2018 – Owner, Jeremy Wagler recently purchased the No Box Nationals, a well-known bracket racing event that was first constructed by Triple O Promotions back in 2007. With more than 200 entries each year, Wagler Competition Products is looking forward to bringing the race back in 2019 and continuing the tradition that’s over a decade strong.

 

The 12th Annual No Box Nationals will take place on June 14-16, 2019, at Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons, Indiana. There is no pre-entry required for the event and the weekend entry fee is only $275.00. Race registration covers Friday, Saturday, and Sunday’s main events. The annual Merrill Downey Memorial race will be held on Friday after the final round of the main event, and there will also be a Gambler’s Race on Saturday after the main event final round as well. Once official sponsors have been finalized, additional races and giveaways will be announced at a later date.

 

All rules that were created by Triple O Promotions owners, Greg Dillman and Allyn Neff, will stay in effect under Wagler’s event ownership. Wagler Motorsports Park looks forward to seeing all of the racers come back for an unforgettable event! Further details will be shared in the upcoming weeks.

WAGLER MOTORSPORTS PARK SET TO PUSH PERFORMANCE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY FORWARD

Jeremy Wagler, owner of Wagler Competition Products and a man who is never short on innovative ideas, jumped at the opportunity to convert Lyons Raceway Park into a private motorsports testing facility where said ideas can be proven. Built in 1996, the current facility is in excellent shape and was the NHRA North Central Division track of the year in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Wagler plans to expand upon the existing 1/8th mile NHRA drag strip by adding a sled-pulling track and a professional dyno-tuning facility, Critical Calibration, Inc.

The strongest, fastest, and best looking diesel trucks swarmed Southern Indiana for the third annual Wagler Diesel Competition in Elnora, IN on June 9-11, 2017. It was a fun, soot-filled weekend for diesel enthusiast from all walks of life. The Wagler Diesel Competition 2017 had plenty of action on tap, from sled-lugging torque monsters, to nitrous-huffing horsepower kings and alcohol-chugging pro mods racing against diesel-powered hot rods.

The performance diesel industry’s best manufacturers were on site to display their innovative technology and to offer helpful tips and tech support to the diesel community. Great food and good music was the final turn that locked the WDC 2017 in as great diesel event!

2017 Wagler Diesel Competition
The dirt-slinging, smoke-blowing, road show, known as the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League put on one heck of a show Friday and Saturday night. The trucks and tractors of the PPL came out swinging and when the smoke cleared five winners each night emerged victorious.

The WDC 2017 extended the fun into Sunday with a new type of drag race called the Diesel vs Gas Shootout that gives diesel powered race cars and trucks a chance to line up against the big boys. The Diesel vs Gas Shootout follows the Wagler tradition of thinking outside of the box. Wagler Competition Products strives to be an innovator in all things that we do.

Two-time Hot Rod Drag Week Champion, Jeff Lutz, was on site with Mad Max looking for some Big Tire Shootout action. Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws star, Farmtruck, was also there sharing driving duties of the WCP DX500-powered ShopTruck with Jeremy Wagler.

2017 Wagler Diesel Competition
The competition was tough and there were four rail dragsters on the property looking to grab the $5K payout. Yet, the Big Tire final would see Judd Coffman’s twin turbo Pro Modified Mustang take on the blown alcohol dragster driven by Richard Edwards in an epic race where the door-slammer prevailed. Congrats to all of the winners of the inaugural Diesel vs Gas Shootout!

Press Release: Wagler’s Twin-Charged, Nitrous-Assisted DX500 Billet Duramax Unveiled at SEMA

Las Vegas, NV – November 1, 2016 – WAGLER COMPETITION PRODUCTS (WCP) continues to push the limit of diesel motorsports with their DX500 billet Duramax engine. Unveiled at the 2016 SEMA Show, the DX500 is built to handle extreme power levels and every piece is held together by the best fasteners on earth. It’s only natural that the DX500 is on display in the Automotive Racing Products (ARP) booth, #22525 in the central hall.

WCP’s DX500 is the first-ever all billet Duramax engine. It was designed and machined in house by Wagler Competition Products specifically to meet the extreme power demands of top level diesel competition. The WCP DX500 will be offered to the public with many different options to choose from, but WCP held nothing back for the very first version by using every power-adder at their disposal. At first glance this may seem like overkill, but this particular DX500 will be the same engine Wagler installs in their 2017 Ultimate Callout Challenge (UCC) entry called “The Shop Truck”. The Ultimate Callout Challenge is an invitational contest of diesel glory where the only rules are the laws of physics – there’s no better venue to push the DX500 prototype to the limit.

The 500 cubic inch DX500 utilizes the best components and technology available in the racing industry. The billet Duramax block, billet heads with ductile iron insert, and billet intake assembly were manufactured by Wagler Competition Products. The rotating assembly consists of: a Winberg crankshaft, WCP rods, Ross pistons, Trend wrist pins, and a Total Seal ring set. The DX500 uses an innovative Comp Cams camshaft with a roller cam bearing and Trend pushrods. Everything is held together by ARP fasteners. Fuel for the DX500 is provided by a custom system from S&S Diesel Motorsport, the leader in electronic diesel injection, and includes triple high pressure CP3 fuel pumps, precision calibrated injectors, media honed fuel rails, and a Bosch Motorsport ECU with S&S calibration. The UCC edition DX500 also has a methanol injection system by Engler and a Waterman pump to feed it. All of that fuel needs plenty of air and Wagler has chosen to use a combination of the best power adders in existence: a PSI screw blower and twin Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Mod 102 turbochargers. The screw blower will get things going and the turbos will feed generous amounts of air through the Vibrant piping into the custom intake, post-supercharger. Power management will be of utmost importance and Wagler is utilizing twin PTE 66mm wastegates to keep the air under control. As if that is not enough, the UCC-version of the WCP DX500 will also be nitrous assisted. All of the power adders and different injectables must work as a system, and that will be handled by the Bosch Motorsport ECU and the wizards at S&S Diesel Motorsport.

General production DX500s are not available yet, but Wagler Competition Products will put the UCC DX500 through the wringer to make sure all the proper testing has been done before they become available for purchase.
